NB We are planning to build a wooden Yurt with a compost toilet an outdoor kitchen andcrelaxroom in the barn, so help with building is appreciated. But also we still need help for our veggiegarden, trees and flower borders.
Four years ago, we started at our place in North East Drenthe to create our food forest, perma cultural vegetable garden and self-sustaining residential farmhouse. We are Peter (69) Jetteke (74) and Willy (84). We love working in our garden, taking care of the veggies and fruits that are growing, keeping our trees healthy and growing, making dilicious meals from what grows in our garden, enjoy our animals. and yes, we could use some help! We had some great wwoofers last year and we hope to get some help this year. the ideals of living more with and in nature are still there in abundance. So will you come and support us?
We live here with 3 dogs (one pup) 2 chickens and 3 cats. We have several ponds, a sauna and a log cabin, which we rent as b&b. Step by step we are working towards expanding our facility, such as an outdoor kitchen and shower. We have many trees on the property and use the wood for the stove. We are still exploring other ways to heat our place and generate electricity. We have a tipi where we have musical gatherings or other activity's
There is a lot possible on the site. We choose to build slowly and quietly in conjunction with the seasons, nature and the place and our energy. For a wwoofer there is a nice bedroom upstairs where you can have some privacy.
We have 63 00 m2 of land and a spacious farmhouse, a garage and several work sheds, which still need to be refurbished. In short, it is a place with possibilities and challenges. All around are the fields, opposite us a small forest.
Our location is at the countryside and 20 minutes on bike to the nearest supermarket or 8 minutes by car.
At this moment we are looking for helping hands in building and construction activitiy's, like building a wooden yurt, outdoor kitchen and a shower. Renovating the shed. And also garden work.
we look for people with a handson mentality. preferably with some knowledge of gardening and construction work.
Ter Apel and Musselkanaal are nearby by car and 15 minutes by bike. Larger places are Emmen and Stadskanaal. We are vlabij Germany. Cycling and walking is super fine. There is a lake nearby where we go swimming in the summer.
Ruim 4 jaar geleden zijn we begonnen op onze plek in Noord Oost Drenthe om ons voedselbos, perma kultuur moestuin en zelfvoorziendende woonboerderij te realiseren. Wij zijn Peter (69) Jetteke (74 en Willy (84). We genieten elke dag van onze moestuin , sprookjesbos, dieren, het eten uit de tuin en we kunnen best wat hulp gebruiken bjj het onderhoud. We hebben goede ervaringen met wwoofers, dus als je zin hebt in een plek in de natuur waar rust en vrijheid bovenaan staan, kom dan een periode bij ons verblijven. De idealen om meer met en in de natuur te leven, kun je hier volop beleven
We wonen hier met 3 honden, 2 kippen en 3 katten. We hebben diverse vijvers, een sauna en een blokhut, die we verhuren als b&b. Stap voor stap zijn we bezig naar het uitbreiden van onze voorziening, zoals een houten yurt,buitenkeuken, compost toilet . We hebben veel bomen op het terrein en gebruiken het hout voor de kachel. We zijn nog aan het onderzoeken hoe we op een andere manier onze plek kunnen verwarmen en electriciteit kunnen genereren. Voorlopig is het idee om dat met zonnepanelen te gaan doen, maar een kleine windmolen is ook een optie. Er is veel mogelijk op het terrein. Wij kiezen voor langzaam aan en rustig opbouwen in samenhang met de jaargetijden, de natuur en de plek en onze energie.
We hebben 63 00 m2 grond en een ruime woonboerderij, een garage en diverse werkschuren, die nog moeten worden opgeknapt. Kortom, het is een plek met mogelijkheden en uitdagingen. Rondom liggen de akkers, tegenover ons een klein bosje. Ter Apel en Musselkanaal zijn vlakbij met de auto en met de fiets 15 minuten. Grotere plaatsen zijn Emmen en Stadskanaal. We zitten vlabij Duitsland. Fietsen en wandelen is hier super fijn. Er is een meer vlabij waar we in de zomer gaan zwemmen.

We had the most wonderful week with Jayanti and Peter. We were warmly welcomed into their beautiful home and garden, with a comfortable room upstairs.
We worked outside in the garden, in the shed painting, cooking and general property maintenance. We loved having dinner with Jayanti and Peter, sharing stories, experiences and becoming real friends.
I highly recommend this woofing, I was laughing and smiling the whole way through :)
We will be back one day ;)

I felt at home right away.
I would describe both as very warm and openminded people.
Jayanti is very easy to talk to and Pieter has a very good sense of humor.
(And a very contagious laugh)
We had a lot of good conversations and did a lot of trimming.
We also did a lot of weeding around their pawn.
I would definitely like to come back in the future. The surrounding around the house is very peaceful and beautiful.
