We are a biologic dynamic smallfruit farm in the middle of the Netherlands. We grow different kinds of fruits: raspberries, blackberries, red currends and kiwiberries (very tastefull small kiwi's). I took over this farm from the farmer who started this farm januari 2021 and hope to make the farm bloom again. The farm is located in the Betuwe, this is the fruit area of the Netherlands. After the farm there is the river the Neder-Rijn. Its very nice to walk there and you can also swim in the little bays. In the summer there are living more poeple here (wwoofers, trainee's etc) and its a happy place where we work together, but also make fire, bake pizza etc... Organic methods: No chemicals and a lot of love :) Certifications: skal and demeter certified Type of work: There is a lot of different tasks to do at the farm! In the summer we are mostly picking the fruits, sometimes we weed or do other tasks inbetween of the picking. In the spring and autumn there are other tasks: building, weeding, planting, seeding, pruning etc. Internet access available

Places Nearby that you might like: A farm with tasty homemade ice cream from their cows, delicious apple pie + a very friendly dog A Folklore museum Thrift Shops with clothes, jewellery, home stuff A Beautiful cafe in the woods Useful info: Supermarket is 5 minutes by bike, it's big and it has everything Eggs from the neighbor's farm in really good prices Bonfires every once in a while The proportion of work hours is decent and very well balanced It's fascinating how one person created a place where that many different people can come as they are, hang out when they want but also have their alone time. I really appreciated that you get your own place. There is a lot of space in the farm other than the common place, so you can find spots where you can sit and chill with your book, laptop, other wwoofers etc.

It was my first time wwoofing and I would recommend this farm for anyone who wants to start. The work hours are fair, Wiellemien is a very nice host and the farm is very peaceful ! I would gladly come back and stay longer than a week and a half :)

I had an extremely positive woofing experience in Explosive Natuurschoon! The farm is well-equipped and organized, and even with a large number of volunteers everything was managed smoothly. The work was clearly scheduled and structured, which made it easy to contribute and learn at the same time, but the best part was that I had the chance to meet and share stories with volunteers from all over the world. I would definitely recommend this place!

Volunteering at Fruitweelde (Explosief Natuurschoon) was an amazing experience. This was my first WWOOF farm, and was incredibly good. It was awesome to meet so many different people from such a wide variety of places and backgrounds. Willemien is an excellent, understanding host and does a great job cultivating an environment for the WWOOFers. Big shoutout to her and all the wonderful people that I met there.

The most pleasant farm I’ve ever visited! Willemien welcomed me and the other volunteers with a warm smile, and the farm feels very safe and comfortable. The scenery is beautiful, and there’s a great opportunity to explore the area using the bikes available on the farm. The work is considerate of each volunteer’s abilities and offers a chance to learn about running a sustainable farm. The tea breaks that Willemien organizes are a lovely way to rest and connect with the other volunteers. There’s real attentiveness to the volunteers’ needs, when the weather turned a bit cold, she didn’t hesitate to offer me an extra blanket. I can’t wait to come back again!
