In summer we will harvest hay from the land. We have a permaculture garden and produce vegetables for ourselves and our community. We can always use help with the animals and in the garden. We cook meals without meat. We hope to meet you soon.

I spent one month at Ank and Vincent’s farm, and it was a really great experience! The farm follows permaculture principles, and everything is done by hand, which makes the work very authentic and connected to nature.
The regular tasks included weeding, planting vegetables and flowers, harvesting for the weekly baskets, and taking care of the compost. Every morning I also fed the chickens and watered the plants in the greenhouse. Sometimes there were different activities, like fixing a fence or attending presentations made by students. There are also cows on the farm, which add to the lively atmosphere.
Ank and Vincent are very kind and welcoming hosts. They always make sure there is something useful to do and take time to explain and share their knowledge. The work rhythm is never too hard, and there is a good balance between work and free time.
Even though I had never worked in a garden before, I learned a lot — about permaculture, teamwork, and the importance of observing nature. We often spoke in English and had interesting conversations about our cultures, discovering both similarities and differences.
It was a very enriching experience, both practical and personal. I’m very grateful for my time there and definitely recommend this place to other WWOOFers!

Thank you so much for having me for two weeks!
The farming activities here were a beautiful experience. During farm work, I felt calm, and this experience made me think about how to do farming in a more ecological way in my country. Their long-term approach to farming was very informative for me.
The hosts were so kind and warm to me, even though my English wasn’t very good. We had some discussions with them, and it was interesting to learn about the culture, various issues, and ways to build a sustainable society.
I’m really happy to have met such wonderful people. I would love to visit again!

Looking back, I'm really happy that I chose to spend 3 weeks at Ank and Winsen's farm, they are a warm and pleasant family who hosted me in their home with great love. The work on the farm is varied and full of interest and learning. The place is relatively isolated and that's exactly what I was looking for. I learned a lot about organic crops and a lot about Dutch cuisine. Highly recommend to any volunteer.

We spent a month I think at Ank and Vincent's farm,
Well, it was great we had a great time, even under the constant raining,
There's a lot of praise about both of them, especially Ank! They are always there, always welcoming, and we are still expecting to have a huge Wittenhorst farm festival there!
On the side, there is a lot and constant work to do at Ank's far, where she and her friends and Tina will help.
We adopted Ank as our aunt, or was it the otherway around? who knows.

My stay with Ank and Vincent was my first wwoofing experience, as well as the first real experience with physical labor on a regular basis. I couldn't give enough praise for Ank and Vincent as both hosts and people, at all times I felt welcomed and accepted, the work was difficult but fulfilling, and the hospitality was incredible.
I stayed at the farm for 3 weeks, and as I was there in September, there wasn't much planting to do, so most of the work was spent weeding, composting, harvesting, feeding the chickens and tending to the cows.
The way Ank manages the farm impressed me as it truly is sustainable, without any fancy labels or claims - nature is given a primary role and it is respected in all regards, which made working there an incredibly rewarding experience, where I felt like I was a part of a truly harmonious process.
I also had the opportunity to discuss planing of crop rotations and spatial organization of the garden with Ank, which I found very insightful and interesting. Above all, I was really glad to see how humble and open Ank is in discussions regarding the practices in the garden, she was open to my suggestions and eager to learn and improve her garden however she could.
To conclude, I am incredibly happy to have had the opportunity to stay with Ank and Vincent, and if given the opportunity - I would definitely come back and stay with them again!

Thank you Tibor. I also really enjoyed the co-creation of the new way of crop rotation and partial organization. I hope we can realize it in the garden.
Its still a bit of a puzzle. I really like the way we do the rotation and still keep the polycultures in the plots!

I had the pleasure of spending a month at Ank and Vincent's farm, and it was an incredibly enriching experience. The work schedule was well-balanced, with tasks running from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and weekends free to explore the surrounding areas.
A typical day began with morning routines such as feeding the chickens, providing water to the cows, and watering the greenhouse plants. Afterwards, we focused on various garden tasks including weeding, composting, planting seeds or seedlings, and harvesting fruits and vegetables for orders. We also engaged in more unique projects like creating a pond to promote rich biodiversity on the farm. The wide variety of tasks kept each day interesting and ensured the work never became monotonous.
I truly appreciated the level of freedom given to WWOOFers; the emphasis wasn't solely on productivity. If the weather was unfavorable or someone needed a rest, there was no pressure to continue working. Coming from France, I was initially surprised by the diet, which consisted of plenty of bread in the mornings and at lunch with different accompaniments, followed by a larger, more varied dinner in the evening. It took a little time to adjust, but embracing this aspect of a different culture was part of what made the experience so rewarding. For non-vegetarians, meat was served occasionally, about once or twice a week.
Moreover, the family was incredibly kind and welcoming. I highly recommend spending some time at this farm !
