Very nice experience with Pyt and Rika. From the very first day, we felt right at home. We really enjoyed sharing meals with Pyt’s family, during which we had many wonderful conversations with Pyt, Rika, and their children. Thank you so much for this enriching and rewarding experience. Pyt and Rika, a huge thank you for our conversations and for sharing your experience in organic farming with us!

Hmmm where to start with..... It was my first wwoofing and I saw many reviews of first time wwoofers in their page so I felt that's safe zone as first wwofer thats why I choose them and they choose me because of my some motivation they can explain better. Best family and colleagues to be around even their pets was very friendly and welcoming. I can't express my good feelings and positivity I felt there with words. Made some great friends and memories I am already missing them a lot. Thanks for everything. Gratitude!

I would like to thank the 'Sipma' family for their patience and for explaining the functioning of a real organic agriculture to me in a calm, humorous and not boring way. Definitely a fun and knowledge-filled experience. Although Rika and Pyt are busy, she takes care of your wishes with her hospitality. Especially her children! They are all so cute. If you need nature and fresh air and a little meditation, I highly recommend it. Organic nutrition was very good for my body. For 1 month I lived in a caravan, this was my first experience, I learnt the details of being in touch with nature. I travelled around the nearby cities. I learned a lot of information about Frisian culture. It was an experience where I learnt a lot of details and I will miss it. I met beautiful people and had the chance to do activities with all of them. I hope that one day our paths will cross again. You showed me that I am lucky!!! Thank you!!! <3 🥰

Thank you again Pyt and Rika for welcoming me onto your farm and into your family. I spent 2 weeks on the farm and had such an amazing time. As someone with very little experience in agriculture, I learned a lot of things about growing my own food, organic farming, and the local farming industry. Pyt, Rika, and all the other volunteers on the farm are all very knowledgeable and always happy to teach. The work was varied and flexible with lots of little "koffie times" in between meaning I always felt useful and was never overwhelmed. I loved eating/cooking lunch with local volunteers and dinner with the family. The food was always delicious and made with their own organic produce. As well as teaching me about the farm, the family also shared with me their uncommonly known Friesian culture. The family was endlessly kind, showing me nearby cities, including me in neighborhood activities, and not going to mcdonalds😉 I would recommend this experience to everyone, I met the best people, watched the best sunsets, and lived in the place with the best flag❤️💙 Can't wait to come back in the fall!!

Niels and I stayed on the farm from Aug 10 – 18, 2022, and, by the time we left Timpelsteed, we felt like a part of the family. Rika and Pyt were warm and welcoming. They taught us a about the farm, about their animals, and they shared their lovely family, home, and community with us. I (Michele) have allergies and asthma, and, since it was my first summer in the Netherlands all of the pollen and foliage was new. Rika took care of me, Pyt took me to the pharmacy to get what I needed, and I recovered asap. After that, Niels worked with the products on the farm and I got to work in the store. There, I really saw how much this farm is a pillar of its community. It was the perfect WWOOF experience and I highly recommend this farming family.

We really enjoyed our time with Rika, Pyt and their family. In terms of the farming, the farm has a diverse range of crops and vegetables, so it was possible to get involved with a variety of activities. My sister and I learnt a lot because everyone was very welcoming and willing to teach us, especially the family. We had the weekend off, which enabled us to explore nearby towns and villages too. The accommodation was convenient and comfortable. There was a nest of falcons nearby, which we could watch from the window. Pyt and Rika let us have the organic food from the farm, which was very generous and meant we didn't have to worry about meals. I would thoroughly recommend this experience to others hoping to learn about how to farm organically, especially to those interested in biodynamic farming. Thank you very much to Pyt and Rika for giving us this unforgettable week!
