We bougth our farm and land in 2015. Since then we have been improving the land for our permaculture food garden and created a lovely edible garden. We can always use help with planting, weeding, harvesting and seed saving. We are also creating a food forest in the excisting poplar forest and on a former piece of grass land. In the food forest we created spots for tents and small campers/caravans. In the summer of 2018 we welcomed our first guests at our nature campsite, we created a nice place and atmosphere already, but are still developing the place every year. We don't have a tractor or big machines, but our pigs help us digging the land and removing nettles and other weeds. When the pigs are done on a particular piece of land, woofers can help developing the land further by seeding or planting. During the spring/summer of 2022 we will work on a (medicinal) herb / flower garden. We live about 5 km from the beautiful old city Middelburg and about the same distance to the seaside city Vlissingen. Zeeland has many beautiful beaches and dunes, the nearest beach is at about 3 km. You can use one of our bikes, or bring your own, to explore the area. If you want to explore the rest of the Netherlands, you can take a train from Middelburg. We are also close to the Belgium border. Besides to the work on the farm, Marieke is a yoga teacher. During the summer months, there will be yoga lessons in the food forest as well. Our daugthers like to interact with volunteers and love to learn foreign languages. Smoking and using drugs is not allowed on the property. Organic methods: We work according the permaculture principles. We don't use any pesticides or herbicides Certifications: As the food we grow is still mainly for own use, it's not certified, but we don't use any pesticides at all Type of work: We can always use help in our permaculture food garden with planting, harvesting, weeding, watering and saving seeds. There will be regular building project as well where we can use some extra hands. Keeping the place clean and taking care of the waste of our guests is also part of the job. Our daughters take care of the animals, but might ask for your help with feeding and cleaning the sheds.  To wwoof with us, PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN tent or small caravan or campervan. We reserve a beautiful spot for you in our food forest! Wwoofer's work from Monday to Friday from 9am -1pm. We have breakfast at 8 and then work till lunchtime. We provide healthy and fresh breakfast and a filling and nutritious lunch. In the afternoon, evening and weekends you can relax or explore (or continue your work if you wish :) ). In the evening and off days you take care of your own food.

It's been such a first and great experience with woofing in Marieke and Jeroen farm. We learned a lot everyday I hope you guys ( woofers)find chance to have this experience . It was not hard work don't be scared if it's your first time , if it was raining we were not working outside for example. Also we met other interesting people that were camping there , so this part also was unique about this farm . Everyday we eat breakfast and lunch together which were so delicious and mostly from organic farm . And eating fresh bread that Jeroen made everyday ... We stayed in our tent , and it was so comfortable for camping bc there was clean warm shower and kitchen . I made mostly my dinner by fire 🔥 and it was so likely for me . Every week 2 times we did yoga , that it was a big WOW experience. Location was in nature and Marieke is an amazing yoga teacher too . Cities around the farm were also interesting to explore. I can say if it's your first experience it can be one of the best , it's like they are your family from the first moment you meet them . Thank you very much Marieke and Jeroen to us this opportunity, its very kind of you to share your life with us . Hope to see you another time Fourough & Falco

I had a really good and interesting time at the Hof ter Linde! I liked the concept at that farm for the wwoofers: Every morning we met outside at a nice picnicplace and had a very delicious and healthy breakfast together. We had time to speak about the daily works and other things. Than we worked in the garden and Marieke and Jeroen took care, that the work was not to hard and changes often. The daily work ended with a nice meal outside at 13 o'clock. I was good informed of the concept of the farm and I liked this very much, how they do their work with the permacultur principles. That means although to them, to be very polite and empathetic with the people on their farm. The rest of the day and the weekend was free. Marieke and her family gave good tipps for sightseeing, bike tours and more. The campsite is so beautiful and everything is very clean. I think, it is a really nice place to help as a wwoofer. Thank you for everything, Marieke and family!!!

Marieke, Jeroen, Julie & Mare are a lovely and welcoming family. I had a great time while working and staying on the farm. It was amazing to be around nature, eat healthy, breath the fresh air and learn about perma culture.  I am truly inspired by the way the family lives their lifes, their vision and the way they treat the world and its species. I am really curious about how the farm and food forrest will develop. I love to come back some day to find out!

Go there, it's worth it! At least, that's my view after two visits of both three weeks. Great people, caring, practising strong ideals and principles deriving mainly from permaculture, yet maintaining a flexible and open attitude towards others and new ideas. Excellent food. The breakfast and lunch have always been tasty and nutritious to me. Since 2019 the food forest is provided with a shelter (small wooden house) in which the Wwoofers and other guests can cook their own meal. On the farm and in the food forest is plenty of jobs to do. There is a good balance between work and free time. Never did the hosts expect to much of me. There is a strong and comfortable tent for the Wwoofers available in the food forest, as well as spots to put up your own tent. The surroundings include historic city Middelburg. The Wwoof bike can get you there easily in about 15 minutes. A little further are the beaches of Zoutelande, Vrouwenpolder and Domburg. Did i forget something? Most definitely! Good luck, enjoy and learn. Greetings, Kevin

I'm very thankful that I could stay at Hof ter Linde for two weeks. It was my first experience with WWOOFing and my first travel on my own. I felt welcomed, the family is really open and nice. Marieke always made delicious food and at lunch the family often ate with us together. Hof ter Linde is a very beautiful place, you can see how much work and love Marieke and her family put in it. Sleeping in a tent and working outside gave me a refreshing feeling. After work there was still a lot of time to explore the landscape and the cities around by bike. All in all I can really recommend to visit this place :)

Dear Marieke, Thank you so much for letting me be a WWOOFER in your farm. I had a very great time there with all the family and felt like I was a part of the family. Thank you so much for your kindness, friendliness and thoughtfulness and especially all the amazing food you made. Thanks to you I had chance to learn new things, to understand about the permaculture and also to discover about the beautiful area. A fantastic farm and family that i have ever joined.
