At our Centre we are specialised in - saving geese but also other types of animals. We rescue dogs, cats, chicken, turkeys, ducks, rabbits and guinea pigs and pigs, which would all otherwise be killed. The Centre was formally a typical food production farm raising cattle for the industry. Since we started in December 2012 we have worked with many volunteers to transform our Centre into a peacefull place for all living beings. Our centre is now home to more 500 animals all living in peace and harmony. When you enter the center you come into a place where we save animals instead of killing them. We respect the life of all living beings from out of the buddhist perspective on life and we love to educate volunteers about all the animals at our place . We work together for the wellbeing of all sentient beings wether its with the animals or in the garden. We have a working Permaculture garden where we grow vegetables for use in our kitchen. We have an organic and vegan diet. We hope to welcome you to help in the garden or with the animals. Also, some construction building projects are ongoing so builders and hard workers are needed. Any person with building experience will be welcome. We will only accept your request when your profile is completed and a picture of you is attached. We want to point that our diet is vegan and our Centre is a drug and alcohol free area. Organic methods: We grow our vegetables in a permaculture garden on an organic way. For own use and to share. Type of work: Every day we are working for the animals. Most people help with the work for animals during the day. But we can also use some technical hands that are willing to help building and renovating the inside of the old farm. Internet access available

That was the most perfect experience I could desire, edwin is a special human being always willing to find a second to listen to you and help . I'm so glad to trizin , thea , aliene and chyntia too , they'll make you feel like a part of a beautiful family and at the same time you will be with animals learning so many beautiful things everyday . It has been a gift for me to be there , infinitely grateful to all of you guys !! 🙏🙏 🙏

I had a great time at Akka's. Trixin, Edwin and Eric are fantastic hosts - great food, welcoming and lots of fun. The centre is an interesting place, with work mostly involving looking after the animals (a great variety) and helping with restoration projects. Having your own accommodation is nice and I especially enjoyed the evenings when everyone eats together. The atmosphere is very relaxed - a dream like quality perhaps! It was also great that multiple volunteers can stay at the same time, so an opportunity to meet like minded people.

This was my first time WWOOFing. Very nice place place to start. I actually fell sick after the first few days and they let me stay in bed to recover which was very nice. Work was hard at the start but I got used to it shortly after. Food was good. Can only recommend! :)

Helena and I stayed during 2 weeks in this little paradise and we don't have anything bad or negative to say. The people we met was fantastic, we enjoyed a lot our daily work with animals and Edwin and Trizin were really close with us, they made us feel very comfortable, like at home! Moreover, the atmosphere there is amazing and animals can't be in better conditions. It was a fantastic experience and although time flies when you feel good, we learnt and enjoyed a lot. Thank you very much to all of you for sharing these two weeks with us. A great big hug and best wishes from Barcelona, Helena and Marina.
