Farm at 3 meter below sea level, 4 km from the next village. Production of vegetables, as well big scale as old fashioned hand work in special plants as coloured carrots and striped beetroot. Selling veggies one day on the market. Dog and ducks, accommodation in garden house or caravan. Pure organic meals, we expect a little help in keeping the kitchen a nice place (always) and  helping to prepare the meals (sometimes), cooking at the campfire happens. You 'll get a bike to enjoy the surroundings, Amsterdam is about 80 km away, tough bikeride but cheapest and most independant way to visit it. On the farm there is a garden / park with fruit trees and bushes and divers litte buildings and projects. We are closed for the winter because we cannot offer heated rooms. Organic methods: Methods: Everything that has scientifically prooved to help the health of soil, plant, humans and environment. Big pakking station and bio-dynamic farm next door.   If wwoofer is willing to get up early to bike: some day out possible at other biological farms specialized on glasshouse and seed procuction, and a public agroforestry project. Certifications: see www.skal.nl Type of work: Running an efficient biological vegetable farm, offering biological products for prices everyone can afford. Taking care of a herbs garden and "park" garden and encouraging wild life and insects to find a home in this heavily used farm area. Living close to nature and making the place a welcoming one for visitors and workers. Getting to know people and make friends with people who are helping here, that is the main reason for having a 3 weeks minimum stay. Experience and friendships last much longer than a wwoofing time. Typical working day: From 8 till 14 o'clock outside with wood, plants or hut- building, with a good break, optionally joining the market on friday. Wifi available

I spent three wonderful weeks on Henrike's farm. She is very smiling, always in a good mood and is very good advice. The tasks were always very varied: I harvested many different fruits and vegetables (walnuts, pumpkins, zucchini, beets, beans, cabbages, etc.), washed and labelled them and mostly sold them at the market. Every Friday, the market is a concrete achievement of the work done during the week, it is a very rewarding experience! In my free time, I visited several surrounding towns, cycling, running, visiting a wind farm, cooking,... Finally, all the food is organic, so we eat really well. I highly recommend this experience! I was the only wwoofer at that time of the year, but it wasn't embarrassing at all because I met a lot of other great people who work there. Thanks for everything Henrike :)

I had such a lovely time at Henrike's farm and learned a ton about organic farming. The farm is beautiful and has a variety of plants, and working at the market was a super fun opportunity. This was a perfect first wwoofing experience. :-)

Gr Christophe

ate some mighty high piles of bread, sowed + weeded + harvested + sold tons of bio veggies, met effervescent beautiful people, squatted in a garden house for 3 weeks, cycled back and forth through Flevoland, swam in the Northern sea, learned how to kayak in the canals - all that whilst wwoofing in the Dutch land 🪿🍞 thank you Wwoof Netherlands, August 2023

It was our first wwoofing in Henrikes farm and our first experience alone abroad and we really loved it ! Henrike was a really nice host and was really welcoming , she immediately made us feel good. We worked from 8am to 2pm and during the free time we could use bikes to discover around the farm and go wherever we wanted. We could experienced some different activities, like seeding, weeding, cooking, preparing and going to the market in Zwolle. We also discovered the typical Netherlands' way of life. We also discovered a lot of nice people. It was an amazing experience that we highly recommend !

Henrike is a hospitable and friendly person. She wants to teach you about what you work on and is eager to let you learn new stuff other than farming. She makes sure you work with other workers and WWOOFers as well to have that culture exchange experience. (Thank you, Henrike :)) Cooking together was a lot of fun as well and eating different dishes from different countries. The farm itself or the carpentry work has a lot of different activities to do. You will not get bored there and you’ll even get more fit, active and healthy. Since you are on a farm, you will get familiar with spiders and mosquitos but not to worry, Henrike has mosquito nets. We enjoyed the market on Friday as well. It is colourful and different from work on the rest of the days. Highly recommended stay.
