It was my first WWOOFing and enjoyed staying at Annette’s farm very much. She and her family were very welcome although my request was just a few weeks ago. -We talked each other about various topics and enjoyed it pretty much! -She explained a lot about plants and system in her farm. It was very helpful for me because I was complete beginner of the farming. -They were so kind that she even puts up with my poor Dutch. Also, she let me experience a lot of Dutch culture. -They cooked healthy, organic, and delicious meals every time. I think I gained a few kilo because they were soooo delicious. I’ve lived in Netherlands for three years so far, but this is the one of the best and heartwarming experience for me. I would like to be back soon and see how the plants are I planted ! Dank u wel, Annette!

Willemien has created such a special place here! I stayed at Fruitweelde for over three weeks and absolutely loved it. I enjoyed the varied work tasks, sometimes together with other volunteers and sometimes by myself. The work day goes by quickly with well-timed breaks for tea and lunch. It is easy to explore the area on bikes you can borrow from the farm or by bus. There are multiple grocery stores nearby and the food stipend is enough to cook all of your meals. Even on colder nights I always slept well in my caravan with lots of blankets. I loved having conversations with volunteers from all over the world! Thank you for everything <3

Karen and Kley are amazing hosts and people! I stayed here for a month at the start of their hosting season, March. I would definitely recommend staying here for upwards of two weeks, to get a good feel for the farm and learn to do a variety of things! I did many different tasks, it was never too same-samey or dull. There are sheeps, chickens, ducks and geese to work with, and dogs and cats to enjoy! Karen and Kley are lovely people and excellent chefs, and love to share information and knowledge about farming and recommendations for the area. The two days off a week is usually the only time I did not eat with them, but food is always provided. The apartment is very tidy and comfortable, with access to an outdoor kitchen whenever it might be needed. I felt very comfortable and accommodated as a solo traveler, and with the other wwoofers that came into the farm. There are bikes to use as you wish, even on work days as we were typically done by 14:30-15:00 with dinner at 19:00. I was able to visit Bruges in a day while I was there, and Ghent, Antwerp, or places in the Netherlands would also be doable. Absolutely recommended for anyone who wants to put in satisfying work and see progress on this beautiful little farm!

I stayed for one week and it was a great experience! Ank and Vincent are very kind and they were always there for me when I had a question or needed help. The work was really nice and in between we had tea breaks during which we had interesting conversations. I would definitely recommend a stay!

I had a beautiful experience at Sûnte. It was my first Wwoofing stay and I really enjoyed it. I spent two weeks at the farm and had the chance to learn many things about gardening and permaculture. Tim is very kind and always happy to explain his knowledge to beginners. There are many things to do especially since he has many projects planned for the farm which make your stay even more interesting. I had such a great time feeding the animals and weeding the garden but also during my free days by discovering the neighbourhood.. I would definitely recommend Sûnte to anyone who wants to try Wwoofing

This is a special and very lovely place, most of all because the people here are so welcoming and friendly, I have rarely felt this at ease so quickly anywhere! I really enjoyed my stay, helping with the animals, in the garden, crafting things together. It's a very relaxed pace and it's a beautifull area. I would love to come back some time!

A very pleasant experience , everything is done to make you feel comfortable on the farm. I spent two weeks on this human-sized farm. Moreover, Karen and Klay are very welcoming. I had the opportunity to work with interesting machinery. Our main tasks were planting trees and taking care of the animals (chickens, sheep, and geese). The surroundings are great for going on walks during the two days off each week. In short, thank you for the warm welcome at The Red Lock Farm!

Thanks for the unique experience during this Wwoofing stay. Although it requiered some strong commitment - full-time work at the restaurant most of the days -, this was also a nice opportunity to speak some Dutch and learn more about the local cuisine and the Waddenzee - and on Tuesday it was a delight to partake in sailing and fishing activities for a whole day, including at night. ps: happy to have been able to free the seal caught in the net

Dank je wel voor de mooi plekje, mooie mensen en de mooie planten. De Waelde Tuin is mooi. Thank you for teaching me everything about farming (organically) apples and pears, and brambles, some Dutch and the bikes to enjoy Texel in the afternoon. And thanks for the three stays in 2025 - it was magic, a wonderful place with wonderful people.

This was my first WWOOF experience and it's been really positive. I spent 10 days at the farm, which just started in October, so there was a lot of preparation to do with the land and the first plants were being placed. It was intresting to listen Lori sharing her knowledge and explaining to me why we were doing things a certain way. Lori is kind and mindful, so I was able to check in with her about what my limits and capabilities are. I felt warmly welcomed by Tatum, Luc and the lovely kids that live at or around the farm(Jimy, Ture and Floris). It was great to experience this type of work and also spend free time outdoors in the beautiful surrounding area. I hope to visit again and defenitly this experience makes me look forward to do more WWOOFING.

I had a really good time at Danieke 's farm. It is something to live an entire week outside, between the work in the farm, the sleep in the tent and the rest in the glass room. After this I felt more calm and more connected with nature. The place is really peaceful. The work was physically a bit hard for me (but that was my first time working in a farm). Danieke kindly lend me a bike, in 10 minutes ride, I could be near to the sea. I also had the chance to go to a bigger city on the island (Zierikzee), it is a cute place. She is an interesting person, I am amazed by her will to go chase her dream.
