Welcome to our warm family and permaculture farm in a beautiful and quiet natural scenery! Come join and have an unforgettable experience in nature! We are welcoming 16-30 year old volunteers, usually for 2-3 weeks. This is a small organic family farm with animals and a permaculture garden. On the farm there is care for people or childen with special needs. And we homeschool our teenagers by the principles of natural learning and social permaculture. As a volunteer your accommodation is a lovely nature retreat stay in a small tinyhouse in the middle of the permaculture garden (see picture). This is basic and therefore you must like camping and outdoor life, also during winter. We welcome volunteers who recognize themselves in the profile of being a nature lover who enjoys a back to basic experience and outdoor life. With enthusiasm, energy and ideas to spend the day with 2 teenagers surrounded by nature and create nice acitivities with them. Maybe you play an instrument or you have a creative hobby to share? And we invite you to take board games from your country. Our teenagers also like to share their knowledge about birds and 3D animations. Average amount of hours a day is 5 hours five days a week. Together we enjoy meals now and then and some activities like yoga and music making. You can also cycle or walk around the beautiful countryside. We are a warm family, but we have a severely chronically ill family member. This makes that our family is very busy, so you must be able to work independently. The evenings we take our rest as a family, so you will spend these on your own. Do you enjoy interaction with our teenagers, nature, organic living and (social) permaculture? And are you an independent worker with hands-on mentality? Then if you mention the word "chocolate pie" in your message to us, we know you have completely read our profile. Welcome to introduce yourself. We ask for no smoking, no drugs and no alcohol please. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I had a wonderful experience at De Junahoeve. As it was my first WWOOF experience, I didn't know what to expect, thankfully, I was received with a warm smile by this amazing family and was immediately welcomed in their beautiful farm. The tasks and the dynamic were very clear from the start, making my stay very comfortable. I got the chance to help out around the farm, admire their beautiful animals as well as the surrounding scenery and have so much fun with Nanoek & Juniper!! Out of all the experiences I got to live during my short stay I will never forget the coziness of the tiny house, the tranquility of the environment, the deliciuos meals I got to taste as well as all the fun activities I got to do with the kids. It has been inspiring to live with Marco and Dorianne’s family. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to breathe a positive attitude, do good work and learn about many things.

Marco and Dorianne’s family were such lovely hosts! I cannot emphasise how much I treasured my experience here on their farm. It was my first wwoof experience and the entire family welcomed me so warmly into their home. Instructions were clear and they were very encouraging, I spent my time gardening and doing barn work. Having hosted 50 volunteers over 7 years, their thoughtfulness really shines through, and I found myself wanting to do good work for them. The neighbourhood was also very peaceful and beautiful, and I enjoyed exploring the region and its joys daily. I felt so at home in the tinyhouse accomodation, and the entire place built by Marco and Dorianne is just gorgeous. Please bring your big heart and keen hands to this amazing farm!

My experience in Junahoeve was really pleasant ! I visited this beautiful family at their wonderful farm as my first ever wwoofing experience and I can easily say that it was an awesome introduction! I really liked the precise schedule and instructions I was given the first day of arriving because it gave me a sense of order and safety, also it gave me the opportunity to organize my spare time better. I've helped with many tasks and activities such as shovelling, cleaning the horses , and painting! I really enjoyed the evening hours which were devoted for Playing games with the lovely company of Nanoek & Juniper aswell as the dinner time , eating tasty meals and sometimes having the opportunity to engage in singing , playing music and having deep conversations about many topics. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a peaceful and calm environment while at the same time engage in activities with two adolescent kids. P.S * I was lucky enough to find wonderful weather even though I visited the farm on late February to mid March! However, if someone is really sensitive and intolerant to cold temperatures , I would recommend to visit the farm somewhen later (April onwards) because the tiny house is located outside and it can be colder than normal house temperatures especially when its windy!
